At The Carmel School, our music program is designed to inspire creativity and foster a deep appreciation for music in students of all ages.

Discovering Music: Creativity and Culture in Lower School

In Lower School, every student participates in General Music classes, engaging with music through hands-on, interactive lessons. The curriculum includes vocal skills, music reading, song composition, and exploration of how music connects to culture, history, and everyday life. Students listen to, describe, and evaluate music to deepen their understanding of its impact on both individuals and society.

As students progress to Middle and Upper School, they can join the school chorus, where they further develop their vocal techniques and collaborate as part of an ensemble. Throughout the year, students have the opportunity to showcase their talents at various events, rising to new challenges and experiencing the joy of sharing their music with the community.
