At The Carmel School, we believe in the transformative power of experiential learning and community building, which is why grade-level field trips are included as part of our tuition. These exciting excursions provide students with the opportunity to explore new environments, engage in hands-on learning, and connect with their peers outside the classroom.
History Comes Alive: Enriching Learning Through Field Trips
Our teachers take advantage of the rich historic landmarks that surround us in Virginia, guiding students on visits to area museums, farms, parks, and significant historical sites. Each trip is thoughtfully designed to enhance the curriculum while fostering a sense of community and collaboration among students. Additionally, we organize wilderness and team bonding trips, as well as annual visits to Washington D.C. and Richmond, allowing students to immerse themselves in the heart of our nation’s history. We’re proud to offer these enriching experiences that support students' growth both academically and socially, helping them develop valuable skills and lasting friendships.
